After seven months of intensive training, the five athletes travelled to Hong Kong in November 2018  to compete in two long distance trail ultramarathons.  Chhechi, Sunmaya, Chhoki and Rashila made history by being the first all-female Nepali team to complete the Oxfam Trailwalker 100km in the race’s 37 year history, placing an impressive second place.  Humi triumphed one week later, winning the FTGR Summits 50km race and has been invited to Hokkaido, Japan in July 2019 to race in the Mt Taisetsu Ultra Trail Race.  Congratulations!

Apart from racing, the women also completed a mini internship on how to start a trail running business, presented at an event with The Women’s Foundation, attended English lessons, volunteered at a trail cleanup, volunteered at a trail race, hosted one hike and one run, went on a city tour, picnicked at the Peak, went sea kayaking, mastered Hong Kong public transport and tried  many different cuisines from pizza to dim sum.
